What Is Title 1?

Title I, is part of the “Every Student Succeeds Act” (ESSA), ensuring schools provide parents and families of Title I schools with the information they need to make well-informed choices for their children including more effectively sharing responsibility for their child’s success, and helping their children’s schools develop effective and successful programs. 1% of the budget is allocated to Parent and family engagement. Our Title 1 parent rep along with Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) coordinates robust parent and family cultural and educational engagement activities at PS 176Q. This activities are FREE of cost.
